Acireale is a coastal city in the north-east of the province of Catania, Sicily, at the foot of Mount Etna, with mineral waters. It is a pretty town, close to the Ionian Sea, attracting the tourists from the rest of the world. According to historical sources, after the foundation by the Greeks, the city went in hand of Roman and only in the sixteenth century acquired importance as a port merchant who brought prosperity to the citizens.
